This new WordPress site was constructed for Hedge End Bowling Club to replace an old Moonfruit website that had become impossible to maintain.
A client says that their website has helped with their funding efforts. The club has received a letter from the Bowls Development Alliance (BDA), supporting the club’s application for funding to assist in the renovation of their club pavilion. The BDA comments included:
“The club committee and members showed a real desire and commitment to bring about changes and look at new ways of doing things. One such example is the development of a brand-new website which could rival any sports clubs in design and content, showcasing bowls as an inclusive sport for all, and therefore attracting a much broader audience from its modernised and easily accessible online presence. … As an organisation itself funded by Sport England, we whole heartedly support their application …”
As COVID-19 / Coronvirus restrictions are eased in some countries, here are some links to information and advice from national governing bodies:
Sept 2019: Just launched ready for the 2019-20 indoor season, a brand new website for Eastbourne Indoor Bowls Club. Their previous website was designed and hosted here, but this new site enables EDIBC to update their website contents, news, social activities, bowls leagues and competitions themselves.
To make it easier to find lawn bowls stores and other commercial websites, the link pages now have a ‘Commercial’ button up in the top menu – use this to quickly find all the commercial websites for each Country.
Just launched, a brand new website for Babbacombe Bowling Club, Torquay, Devon.
Babbacombe already had their own domain name and web hosting, and this new WordPress site replaced their old static web pages.
Welcome to the new www.bowlsclub.info!
Sep 2017: This site has been providing links to bowls related websites since 2002, and it was well overdue for a makeover!
This all-new site has been rebuilt with WordPress to bring the technology up to date, and to ensure a ‘responsive’ site that can be viewed on mobile phones, tablets and PCs.
Not all bowls sites are good at getting themselves listed by Google, so hopefully this site makes them easier to find for everyone.
