	April 2005		I'm pleased to announce that you can now search the entire bowlsclub.info database using a keyword search. You can still access the 'A to Z' and 'World' links pages as before, but you'll now find a search box on both of these index pages. Simply type in a key word or two, and click the 'Search' button. (There are a few more search hints on the Info page.) Web server statistics show that this site served over 18,000 visitors, viewing 65,000 pages, for the month of March 2005. That's about 600 visitors, viewing more than 2100 pages, every day.
	August 2004		Two major milestones have been passed this month - the number of visits passed the 200,000 mark, and the number of links finally reached 1000! For those of you who don't know, this site started up in April 2002 with about 240 links. I had gathered the initial set of bowls web sites in order to promote the launch of my own club site - highworthbowlsclub.org - in 2001. After the launch, I decided that I could do something useful with my list of links, so www.bowlsclub.info was born. Many thanks to all those who have submitted web sites to me, provided links back, and sent words of encouragement. Web server statistics show that this site served over 15,000 visitors, viewing 48,000 pages, for the month of June 2004. That's about 500 visitors, viewing more than 1600 pages, every day.
	January 2004		2003 Web server statistics show that this site served over 82,000 visitors, viewing 315,000 pages, for the year. That's an average of over 220 visitors, viewing more than 850 pages, every day. Visitors to the site hit the 100,000 mark in late 2003. Well over 200 web sites now provide a link back to bowlsclub.info, making the site one of the most popular bowls sites with the search engines. This is good news for all the sites listed here: as search engines find new links on this site, they will eventually find and index more bowls sites - even those that have never been submitted to the search engines by their creators.
	April 2003		As a web designer and a bowler, I was honoured to be asked to carry out the redesign of the English Bowling Association web site, ready for their Centenary year. The overall redesign is now completed, and the EBA are able to update and upload their own content for the 2003 season. Check out the new site now, at http://www.bowlsengland.com.
			Links needed! The bowlsclub.info database may be getting near to holding all the bowls-related web sites that exist! The number of new sites being submitted or discovered is certainly slowing down, so the database may only need to be updated monthly, rather than weekly, in the future. If you know of a site that is not included here, please let me know.. Web server statistics show that this site served over 6,020 visitors and 24,900 pages for the month of April 2003. That's around 200 visitors, viewing 831 pages, every day.
	February 2003		Traffic continues to rise, as web server statistics show that this site served around 5,300 visitors and 21,600 pages for the month of January 2003. That increases the average to around 177 visitors , viewing 700 pages, every day. The outdoor bowling season is now in full swing in the Southern hemisphere. In fact over eleven percent of site visitors for January were from Australia and New Zealand. Thanks for dropping by! Of the web sites listed here, over 140 now include a link back to www.bowlsclub.info.
	August 2002		After the site had been up for about three months, it was beginning to be indexed by the major 'search engines', and a regular stream of visitors had built up. Server statistics showed that the site served around 2,800 visitors and 15,000 pages during July 2002 - an average of 90 visitors, viewing 480 pages, every day. After analysing the server stats, two new Index pages were added for the 'A to Z' and 'World' links. These indexes enable visitors to home in more quickly on the required links pages. Links! One of the best ways of getting visitors to your site - and to get better ranking in search engines - is to get lots of links to your site. Of the web sites listed here, over 90 included a link to www.bowlsclub.info. Thanks to everyone who has provided a link, and thanks to all those who have submitted their web site details for inclusion here!
			Now that the site is well represented in the search engines, it's interesting to see which search queries bring visitors to the site. The list on the right shows part of a typical day's search terms taken from the server stats for bowlsclub.info. As you can see, many people now use the web to locate bowls clubs and other bowls information.
